Way back in 2019 Husqvarna North America was making there way up and down the east coast of the United States testing out the original EPOS Automowers that they were hoping to launch soon. This area in Philadelphia, PA was one of the original test sites, but the mowers failed repeatedly due to loss of signal because of trees and all the tall buildings. They ended up installing 450XH and 430XH mowers around the property which worked for the most part ever since. Of course there was the frustration over broken boundary wires at sidewalk crossings and that kind of stuff, but the biggest issue as time went on was all the interreference coming from the utilities in the underground parking garage directly beneath this lawn area. That's right, there's a massive parking garage under here! In 2023 after some software updates and systematic mowing was added to the EPOS Automowers we again set up a test area in this lawn with our our Husqvarna territory rep and again the mower lost signal repeatedly before even getting a work area created. But, now in 2025 we finally "cracked the code" and have finally got a 520H EPOS to work in this area. In this video we go over the outer parts of the cutting system found in Husqvarna 440iQ, 420iQ, and 410iQ Automower models. We get a lot of calls and emails from iQ Automower owners asking if there is a fairway kit available to lower the cutting height on the 440iQ, 420iQ, or 410iQ Automowers. We also get a lot of questions regarding installing a 5 blade cutting disk on the 410iQ, 420iQ, and 440iQ Automower models. So, what's the answer? In this video you can see that even though nearly all the parts used in the iQ series cutting system are the same parts used on the Husqvarna 430X, 430XH, 450X, 450XH, 450X EPOS, 450XH EPOS, 520, 520H, 520H EPOS, 520 EPOS, 550, 550H, 550 EPOS, and 550H EPOS Automowers, the big difference is the actual cutting disk itself and how it mounts to the cutting motor used in the iQ models.
