In this video we show you the proper way to remove the pivoting arm that connects the back chassis to the front chassis of a Husqvarna Automower 435X, 435iQ, & 535AWD model. This is the part that allows the 435X, 435iQ, and 535 AWD Automowers to articulate. This arm needs to be removed in order to open the rear chassis of the 435X, 435iQ, and 535AWD mowers to make repairs to any of the boards, motors, or other components housed inside of the rear chassis. The fact that is has just one bolt running through the center of it makes it seem like removing this arm would be a very simple procedure, and it is simple when they are new new and clean and haven't been out in the elements. This area of the mower can get built up with grass clippings and other debris that will cause the shoulder bolt going through the pivoting arm to rust and be tough to remove. This is one more operation where we have to stress DO NOT USE POWER TOOLS because you can cause some expensive and time consuming damage in a hurry if you do. As you can see in this video the best option is a 3/8" drive ratchet, a socket with a 4mm hex key, and some penetrating oil. It's important to not get rammy and in a hurry when trying to remove these parts. Instead work the bolt out a little at a time and keep it lubricated with penetrating oil so that it cleans out some of the rust on its way out while causing as little damage or wear as possible. In this video we show you a common issue that can cause a Husqvarna 435X, 435iQ, or 535AWD Automower to not charged once parked. What we explain in this video can also cause a charging current supervisor error or no power in charging station error for a 435X, 435iQ, or 535AWD Automower. Many people think that if they do a voltage test and they have voltage coming in through the mower's charging contacts and out to the battery that everything is ok with the mower. This leads them to replace the battery only to find out that the new battery will not charge either. What needs to be checked is continuity in the wires from the mower's charging contacts through to the connector that plugs into the battery. It's always best to test the individual harnesses and then test with the two harnesses connected. In some cases you won't even have to test because when you remove the two wires you will find the connection between the charging contact harness and the battery adapter harness is melted. Way back in 2019 Husqvarna North America was making there way up and down the east coast of the United States testing out the original EPOS Automowers that they were hoping to launch soon. This area in Philadelphia, PA was one of the original test sites, but the mowers failed repeatedly due to loss of signal because of trees and all the tall buildings. They ended up installing 450XH and 430XH mowers around the property which worked for the most part ever since. Of course there was the frustration over broken boundary wires at sidewalk crossings and that kind of stuff, but the biggest issue as time went on was all the interreference coming from the utilities in the underground parking garage directly beneath this lawn area. That's right, there's a massive parking garage under here! In 2023 after some software updates and systematic mowing was added to the EPOS Automowers we again set up a test area in this lawn with our our Husqvarna territory rep and again the mower lost signal repeatedly before even getting a work area created. But, now in 2025 we finally "cracked the code" and have finally got a 520H EPOS to work in this area.
